World-renowned sculptor Cem Sagbil studied at the Fine Arts Academies in Istanbul and Stuttgart. In 1999, he founded the bronze casting workshop named Bronzhane in Izmir.
In 2006 and 2007 he received the artist of the year award in Turkey.
Since 1992 until today, he has held numerous solo exhibitions in Turkey, Germany, France, the USA, Cyprus, Cyprus and the UAE.
Cem Sagbil's sculptures can be seen in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Çanakkale, Stuttgart, Böblingen, Ludwigsburg in Germany and in a square in Paris, the capital of France.
Cem Sagbil focuses on the basic values of human beings in his works. For him, art is not only an aesthetic visuality, but also a tool that touches the human soul, makes it think and provides an inner journey.
In his works, he usually focuses on the stories of mythological heroes who lived in ancient times and establishes links between them and today's people. He thinks that these stories are a means of transmitting moral and ethical values. .
Mythological stories contain themes and motifs common to various cultures. This commonality shows that humanity has a common heritage.
